Job Title - Resident Project Representative Location - Chicago, IL Job Type – Onsite Requisition ID - 11100 Stanley Consultants is looking for a Resident Project Representative with previous construction management experience for our Chicago, IL office. A licensed professional is preferred. This person will work in the field on public infrastructure projects and assist the Resident Engineer. Project owners include IDOT/CDOT/ISTHA and various municipalities. Daily tasks consist of on‑site observation of the contract construction work as compared to the project’s plans and specifications. What You Will Be Doing:

Monitor contractor’s performance for workmanship, schedule, and contract requirements. Prepare reports, coordinate progress meetings with the contractor and owner, and manage the shop drawing review process. Make calculations and document work in a format that can easily be checked by others. Monitor internal budgets. Ensure staff compliance with the Group Safety manual. Resolve contractor’s questions and drawing clarifications. Assist the Business Development Manager or others with marketing, interviews and proposal preparation. Maintain positive client relationships. Anticipate and resolve issues and concerns promptly from the owner, contractor, residents, public officials, and other stakeholders. Mentor younger engineers and technicians. Required Qualifications:

PE or ability to obtain PE upon required 4 years of experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering and/or construction management projects. IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification and IDOT Erosion Control Fundamentals and Inspection Modules. Excellent visualization, communication, and documentation skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to multitask effectively and work independently, while collaborating with other team members and managers. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. General knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications. Proven ability to distribute learned knowledge to other Resident Project Representatives, Construction Observer’s, and Material Testing Technicians. Ability to assist Construction Manager/Resident Engineer with many of their tasks and to be able to fill the Construction Managers/Resident Engineer’s role temporarily in their absence. Aptitude to act as a positive representative of Stanley Consultants, Inc. core values and an active participant in an outside professional organization. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing field engineering duties for IDOT/ISTHA/CDOT projects. Experience leading other staff. Knowledge of field surveying. Proficient in Construction Materials Management System (CMMS), CDOT CMQA, and Trimble Unity Construct. Familiar with the use of CADD. Performance Standards:

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full‑time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off! What we offer:
