Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams including epileptologists and clinicians. Analyzes electrophysiological recordings. Pre-screens and prunes Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and Long-term EEG studies conducted on patients in preparation for the Neurologist's review. Interprets neurological findings and generates a written report that includes patient demographics and exam details for the Neurologist's /Epileptologist's review. Works within the scope of the American Society of EEG Technology guidelines while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Provides expert knowledge of EEG pattern recognition. Provides and elicits concise and focused feedback. Provides expert technical assistance during functional electrocorticography cerebral mapping. Performs audits to evaluate integrity and technical standards of EEG procedures as part of the quality assurance program. Serves as a consultant in hospital initiatives, quality improvement projects, and other areas as deemed necessary. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications
Registered Electroencephalogic Technologist (R. EEG T.) with Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalogloric and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) and five (5) years of experience as an ABRET registered or registry eligible Electroencephalogic Technologist (EEGT) with post CLTM experience in Long Term Monitoring (LTM) in the ambulatory, EMU and/or critical care setting required. NeuroAnalyst Certification for Long Term Monitoring (NA-CLTM) by ABRET preferred. Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Currently credentialed as an Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist (R. EEG T.) and Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) required.
