Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a full-time Faculty- Information Systems instructor, with a focus in Computer Programming/Software Development and Computer Information Systems (CIS). Full-time faculty in the Information Technology program will teach courses within the Programming/Development and CIS programs. This position may be on multiple campuses in Rowan and Cabarrus Counties in North Carolina and may include day and evening sections, depending on department needs. Required Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Information Technology from a regionally accredited institution. Programming experience in Python, Java, C#, C++, and Artificial Intelligence is preferred, and applicants must be willing to develop these programming skills as needed. IT Certifications Responsibilities: Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes. Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner. Update, communicate, and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance. Work collaboratively with the College’s support services to identify and address the students’ academic support needs. Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes. Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks. When applicable, ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order. Support student mentoring, advising, registration, and recruitment efforts, as appropriate or required. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance and apply knowledge/skills within the discipline. Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff. Participate in College meetings, events, and committees as appropriate or required. Attend and participate in the annual graduation ceremony.
