Physiatrist Independent 1099

Overview Concentra, one of the largest health care companies in the nation, is seeking a Physiatrist / Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist to serve as a 1099 independent contractor located on site. This contract position complements your current practice, with patients typically treated for a 4‑hour shift either weekly or biweekly. Concentra Advanced Specialists aid in managing medically complex patients, expediting return to work and functional restoration. Working collaboratively with medical and therapy providers, you will provide specialist services—including EMGs and NCS—for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work‑related injuries. You will also communicate with employers and play an active role in case management, providing treatments that positively impact patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

Half a day per week or biweekly.

This position is an independent contractor role for Concentra. Compensation for services is determined by a revenue share model.

Qualifications

Preferred experience in treating patients with work‑related injuries.

Licensure requirements of the state of practice.

Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university.

Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance that covers you while on site.
