Responsibilities
The scale‑up support will work closely with the company’s CTO. You will develop new formulations, manage quality‑control processes, troubleshoot using field samples, design new products, and provide minor sales support. Participation in training courses to acquire new skills or improve existing ones may be required. Further responsibilities will be communicated in detail during the interview process.
Qualifications
Strong analytical chemistry background.
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or PhD in Chemistry (or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience.
Highly organized; required to document experiments and results and retain them.
Ability to travel at least 10%.
Reasonable communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
Legal immigration status with authorization to work in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior established experience with analyzing aqueous solutions containing metal ions and organics.
Experience in wet electrochemical manufacturing (electroplating, electroless plating, etc.) and wastewater treatment of metal industries.
Experience selecting organic additives for aqueous systems.
Prior experience with analytical techniques such as AA, IC, and/or ICP.
Desire to learn basic metal characterizations (XRF, hardness, etc.).
Desire to learn and conduct Design of Experiments.
Desire to learn electroplating at both laboratory and industrial manufacturing scales.
Experience managing others (nice but not essential).
Ability to travel 20% or more.
Proficiency in German, Japanese, or Italian (nice).
Technology scale‑up experience.
Customer support experience.
Previous startup experience.
Synthetic chemistry experience.
