About the role A

Senior Business Analyst - Claims

at Gainwell will harness technology to drive innovative solutions for healthcare’s biggest challenges.

You will play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell meets client objectives.

Responsibilities

Help coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities on IT projects and mentor newer team members.

Facilitate meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.

Create test scenarios and develop test plans for business applications, then analyze testing results throughout the project.

Provide time estimates for project-related tasks.

Generate lessons learned and recommend process improvements.

Act as a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define and share business requirements and expected impact.

Work with clients to develop business specifications at the start of a technical project.

Analyze, plan, design, document, or recommend improvements to business processes to support client technology goals.

Verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results.

Use basic analytical or relational database tools (Excel or SQL) to quantify the anticipated impact of work.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst role within Health Care/Health Insurance.

Strong background in Medicaid, specifically claim processing using Institutional and Physician claim forms.

Knowledge of Prior Authorization, Member, Provider, Long-Term Care, Inpatient/Outpatient concepts.

Experience with project and change management tools such as ALM, iTrace/rTrace.

SDLC experience using waterfall methodology.

Experience creating deliverable documentation, user manuals, and training materials.

Experience implementing benefit plan configuration updates in Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).

What you should expect

Office hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Mountain Time.

Fully remote – only continental U.S. locations.

Video cameras required during all interviews and the initial week of orientation.

Compensation & Benefits The pay range is $69,400 – $99,200 per year (base pay may vary by geography, experience, and internal equity).
