Coordinator of Video and Play Long Island University invites applications for the

Coordinator of Video and Play

to support the women's basketball program. This position plays a critical role in the daily operations of the team by managing all video-related functions, including film capture, breakdown, analysis, and distribution.

Overview This role supports coaching staff to enhance team performance, support scouting and recruiting efforts, and maintain the video and technology infrastructure of the program.

Responsibilities

Film and edit all practices, games, and workouts. Prepare detailed breakdowns for coaching use, including opponent scouting, game review, and player development.

Maintain a well-organized video library for quick access and archival use.

Create detailed edits, play diagrams, and personnel breakdowns for video-based and graphic-based opponent scouting.

Produce highlight packages and assist in compiling recruiting film and graphics to support staff evaluation of prospective student‑athletes.

Coordinate setup and operation of video equipment at all home and away games, ensuring high-quality footage is captured; travel with the team as needed.

Manage and maintain all video-related equipment, software, and infrastructure; stay current with emerging technologies to enhance video analysis and coaching efficiency.

Ensure all video practices and recruiting materials comply with NCAA, NEC, and university policies. Maintain strict confidentiality of all team and student‑athlete materials.

Assist with scheduling, recruiting administration, compliance checklist, film exchange logistics, travel, data entry, and various day‑to‑day operational needs as assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; degree in sports management, communications, or a related field preferred.

1–2 years of experience in video coordination, basketball operations, or similar at the collegiate or professional level.

Proficiency in video editing and analysis software such as Synergy, Hudl, Sportscode, and Adobe Premiere; capable with Photoshop, Canva and Microsoft Office.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines.

Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations; understanding of basketball systems, terminology, and strategy.

High integrity and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a Division I basketball program.

Background in sports performance analysis or basketball analytics/statistics.

Experience traveling and supporting team operations in a fast-paced athletic environment.

Salary and Housing Salary range: $35,000–$40,000 annually plus housing at LIU‑Brooklyn.
