Medical Director – US Market Access, Precision Oncology (Remote, US)
A pioneering precision oncology company is seeking a Medical Director to support its continued US expansion across Market Access and Medical Affairs. This is a strategic and cross‑functional leadership role, focused on driving payer engagement, clinical evidence generation, and scientific partnerships to accelerate patient access to cutting‑edge liquid biopsy and molecular diagnostics technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute national and regional payer strategies to improve patient access and achieve commercial goals.
Lead payer communications, presenting strong clinical and economic value propositions to support reimbursement.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with billing, reimbursement, finance, and commercial teams to ensure alignment.
Engage with oncologists, hematologists, and key opinion leaders to strengthen scientific relationships and education.
Contribute to clinical evidence generation through real‑world data and investigator‑led studies.
Represent the organisation at major conferences and scientific meetings.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) in oncology, molecular biology, genetics, or related field.
5–7 years’ experience in diagnostics, with a mix of Market Access, Medical Affairs, or payer engagement experience.
Demonstrated success securing reimbursement for diagnostic or molecular testing.
Deep understanding of oncology diagnostics, including NGS, MRD, MCED, and liquid biopsy applications.
Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Remote role (US‑based) with periodic travel for payer meetings, scientific conferences, and internal strategy sessions.
Occasional flexibility is required for cross‑time zone collaboration.
