External Audit Manager – PwC
We are looking for a Manager to lead external audit engagements for our Pharma and Life Sciences clients. The role focuses on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technology‑enabled external audit engagements
Supervise, develop, and coach audit teams
Manage client service accounts and engagement workstreams
Solve and analyze complex audit problems and deliver top‑quality reports
Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB standards
Leverage digitization and automation to increase efficiencies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5+ years of audit experience
CPA license (or equivalent in home country for international hires)
Desired Skills & Competencies
Analyze system linkages and interactions between components
Project ownership—planning, budgeting, execution, and completion
Collaborate with leadership to ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables
Mentor and develop team members
Handle conflicts and difficult conversations with stakeholders
Maintain professional and technical standards, firm code of conduct, and independence
Proficiency in automation and digitization

In‑depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS
Proficiency in technical accounting and financial reporting
Leadership and motivation of teams

Salary range: $99,000 – $297,000, plus discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), holiday pay, vacation, and more.
