Til ted
About Tilted Tilted builds real‑time AI data infrastructure for gaming and creator economy applications. Our platform processes streaming data from gaming APIs, social platforms, and content creation tools to provide low‑latency insights for Gen Z users.
The Role We’re looking for an experienced ML engineer to own significant portions of our data infrastructure and modeling pipeline. This role involves building systems from the ground up with direct impact on product decisions and architecture.
The position requires working across research, engineering, and infrastructure—we’re a small team where scope isn’t artificially constrained by organizational boundaries.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain real‑time data ingestion pipelines handling gaming, streaming, and social platform data
Develop ML models for trend detection, content classification, and cultural signal processing
Design scalable infrastructure supporting concurrent users with sub‑second latency requirements
Make technical decisions about architecture, tooling, and product direction
Work directly with end users and iterate based on feedback
Qualifications Required:
5+ years experience in ML engineering, AI research, or related technical roles
Strong background in at least one: distributed systems, real‑time data processing, ML model development, or production ML infrastructure
Experience shipping ML products or research to production environments
Proficiency with Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Preferred:
Experience with real‑time streaming systems (Kafka, Flink, or similar)
Background in NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems
Familiarity with gaming, streaming platforms, or creator economy products
Comfortable working in low‑structure, high‑autonomy environments
Technical Environment
Data infrastructure: Kafka, Flink, custom streaming pipelines
ML stack: PyTorch, transformer architectures, fine‑tuned models
Systems: Distributed compute, edge infrastructure, cloud platforms
Languages: Python, Rust, Go
Team Structure Small engineering team (currently ~10 people) where individual contributions are highly visible. Direct collaboration with founders on technical and product strategy. No separate research, product, and infrastructure silos.
Compensation
Competitive base salary based on experience
Equity package appropriate for early‑stage role
Standard benefits and PTO
Work Style We prioritize shipping over process. Technical decisions are made by people building the systems. Access to compute resources isn’t rationed through internal competition.
Most engineers here previously worked at larger organizations and prefer higher autonomy and faster iteration cycles.
