We are seeking an
Associate Medical Director of Women's Health (NP/PA/CMM or MD/DO)
to provide clinical leadership and oversight. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the AMD will play a key role in supervising day‑to‑day care delivery, supporting clinical staff, and fostering a culture of high‑quality, equitable healthcare.

We offer comprehensive, accessible care through an integrated model that includes primary care, dental services, WIC support, mental health counseling, community health education, and more.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with one day dedicated to clinical leadership and four days providing direct patient care.
Compensation:
Annual salary varies based on experience and licensure. TVHC offers transparent and equitable compensation determined by a variety of factors to ensure fairness. We are committed to providing a competitive total rewards package that supports the health, wealth, and professional development of our employees. NP/PA/CNM: $71.48 – $85.35 per hour ($148,678.40 – $177,528 annually), plus a $20,000 annual leadership stipend and a signing bonus. MD/DO: $116.16 – $138.70 per hour ($241,612.80 – $288,496 annually), plus a $20,000 annual leadership stipend and a signing bonus.
TVHC's Forgivable Loan Program
– We offer an internal Forgivable Loan Program, providing up to
$50,000 in loan forgiveness
for eligible employees who have completed at least 18 months of employment and commit to an additional three years of service. This program is designed to provide financial support and reward long‑term commitment and retention. Other eligibility criteria may apply.
Federal And State Loan Programs
– TVHC is designated as both a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) and a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), making employees eligible to apply for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and other federal and state loan repayment and forgiveness programs available to qualifying healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Manage administrative responsibilities including departmental integration, coordination of clinical services, staff meetings, mentoring new providers, and ensuring staff are trained to standards.
Utilize department and provider data/dashboards to guide operational and clinical excellence.
Supervise, mentor, and coach clinicians using qualitative and quantitative data.
Develop educational programming and support as assigned.
Participate in recruitment, hiring, corrective action counseling, and terminations as needed.
Lead peer review and performance review processes for direct reports, and monitor PAQs.
Support providers in completing documentation and follow‑up tasks.
Assume clinical responsibility with the CMO, including regular and special reporting.
Foster an environment that promotes TVHC’s Quality Initiatives and removes barriers to achieving quality care.
Perform health assessments, exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
Provide direct clinical services within the provider’s area of board certification (or eligibility) according to the highest standards of practice and TVHC policies.
Provide leadership and direction in medical program/policy development and revision.
Assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating TVHC’s clinical programs.
Collaborate with other departments for the successful integration of services.
Conduct staff performance evaluations and monitor providers’ PAQs.
Demonstrate commitment to TVHC’s Service Excellence Standards through exemplary service and modeling excellence in all relationships.
Demonstrate commitment to and understanding of TVHC’s Service Excellence Standards, modeling service excellence in all internal and external relationships, and addressing service excellence deficits in staff.
In the absence of the CMO or when directed by the CEO or designee, may be asked to assume the responsibilities and authorities of Chief Medical Officer on an interim basis, as required to ensure regulatory compliance and the ongoing clinic operations of TVHC.
Collaborate with management team members, as directed, to develop strategies and policies and provide consultation within scope of responsibility.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Chief Medical Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements
Must have license as an NP/PA/CNM or MD/DO, and board certification or eligibility within the discipline required.
Current, valid license to practice medicine in the State of California, including DEA license (if applicable) and CPR certification required.
Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience required.
Minimum two (2) years of experience supervising providers or other clinical staff preferred.
Experience in underserved communities or in a community health center setting preferred.
Qualifications
Proficiency in clinical practice within the specified medical specialty.
For MDs or DOs, willingness to collaborate with and supervise NP/PA/CNM providers as required.
Ability to travel to designated locations as required by supervisor.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Demonstrated leadership skills that build trust and respect among patients, staff, and colleagues.
Commitment to staying current with evidence‑based best practices in internal medicine and community‑based care.
Willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to utilize and adapt to evolving healthcare technology systems.
Demonstrates flexibility regarding job duties and assignments.
