Associate Manager, New Verticals – Logistics Strategy & Operations
role at
DoorDash .
About The Team New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant delivery. Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team has three major mandates: onboarding merchants efficiently, fulfilling orders with speed and accuracy, and improving the logistics network. We achieve this by identifying efficiencies, building product tooling, and launching operational processes at scale. You will own metrics, pull operational and product levers, and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses.
About The Role We’re looking for an Associate Manager to join our Logistics pod to focus on driving meaningful improvements to our cost, efficiency, and quality initiatives. You’ll lead a small, agile pod to uncover actionable insights and deliver measurable impact—without waiting for perfect data or a full product roadmap. The metrics you’ll impact include dasher cost, fulfillment cost per order, cancellations, consumer satisfaction, and more. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves deep data analysis, and has a strong bias toward action.
You’ll Impact Through These Responsibilities
Analyze data to drive business decision-making and use SQL to extract insights.
Lead cross‑functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to implement tech solutions that improve new vertical offerings.
Strategize to own and deliver on improving key selection metrics, creating and executing quarterly and annual plans aligned with product capabilities.
Build and execute innovative initiatives across our verticals, from AI‑powered selection predictions to enhancing the shopper experience, covering both strategy and operational detail.
We’re Excited About You Because…
You are an operator who operates at the lowest level of detail while also thinking long‑term.
You solve problems from first principles and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
You are analytical, comfortable with SQL, data visualization tools, and communicating insights.
You have 4–6+ years of experience in high‑performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups, or related experience).
You hold a bachelor’s degree.
Compensation The starting pay will fall within the range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized to the employee’s work location. In addition, the role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
For hourly roles: vacation accrued ~1 hour per 25.97 hours worked; paid sick time accrued ~1 hour per 30 hours worked.
