GALLERY ASSISTANT

Assistant Director and Director We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic
Gallery Assistant
to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for Modern and Contemporary Art and a desire to contribute to the daily operations of a leading gallery. The Gallery Assistant will play a key role in visitor relations, communications, marketing, and administrative support, working closely with the Assistant Director and Director to ensure the gallery runs smoothly and continues to grow its public presence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with artists, collectors, and institutions while developing skills across gallery management, design, and digital outreach. RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, greeting visitors and clients and providing assistance as needed. Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently. Respond to inquiries from collectors, institutions, press, and others, directing them to appropriate staff with discretion. Draft correspondence with clients and colleagues; manage daily communication tasks. Create original and engaging content for social media, including campaigns and posts. Develop and manage a social media calendar; schedule posts to promote exhibitions and events. Explore creative strategies to enhance the gallery’s digital presence. Draft and distribute a weekly email newsletter highlighting current and upcoming programming. Provide administrative support to the Assistant Director and Director, including scheduling and correspondence. Design digital graphics, banners, brochures, flyers, and exhibition materials (PDFs) for promotional use. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for design and marketing projects. Collaborate with the gallery team on press kits, exhibition materials, and in-gallery displays. Manage gallery inventory using Artsystems. Update and maintain the gallery website through Artlogic. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts. QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of and interest in Modern and Contemporary Art. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Artsystems and Artlogic. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Canva. Familiarity with Constant Contact, Google Suite/Microsoft Office, artnet, and Artsy. Awareness of current trends in arts-related news and publications. Ability to develop creative solutions for marketing and media initiatives. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
