team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, ETL developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions. Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, Oracle Designer, and SQL Designer. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective data architecture solutions. Create and maintain database diagrams, define table relationships, and implement indexing strategies for performance optimization. Work closely with ETL teams to support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, including mapping and reporting. Apply normalization and de-normalization techniques to ensure data consistency and flexibility in database design. Work model

10+ years of experience in data modeling and database design across multiple platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and Microsoft Access. Strong expertise in relational and dimensional modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas. Proven experience in metadata management, query optimization, and OLAP tools. Hands-on experience with PL/SQL procedures and schema object creation (indexes, views, sequences). Excellent analytical and communication skills with a clear understanding of SDLC and business process flows. These will help you stand out

Experience implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions (Type I & II) in dimensional models. Familiarity with Ralph Kimball methodology for data warehousing. Ability to consolidate data from multiple sources and perform advanced data analysis. Experience deploying naming standards and maintaining project documentation. Participation in JAD sessions and preparation of detailed design documentation. Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
