Overview
Greenhouse Manager – Agriculture at Southeast Missouri State University is seeking an outstanding candidate to manage the Charles Hutson Greenhouse.
Responsibilities
Oversight of the Charles Hutson Greenhouse and the Charles Nemanick Alternative Ag Garden
Establishment and management of budgets
Development and administration of greenhouse policies and procedures, including safety
Development and implementation of strategic plan for greenhouse
Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate student employees
Complete routine greenhouse maintenance and repairs
Support faculty and student research
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture or closely related field
Two years of production horticulture experience
Ability to train and supervise employees
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and database management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in greenhouse facility management and operations
Experience with budget management
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Ability to work some nights and weekends and during all types of weather
Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
