Quality Inspector/Quality Control

12+ Month Contract
$21-$23 hrs. on W2
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector ensures that all electronic instruments, electromechanical devices, and components meet company and industry quality standards. This role involves inspecting, testing, and verifying products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on electronic and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment to verify part conformance.
Inspect solder joints, wiring, and assembly workmanship in accordance with IPC and company standards.
Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and document results.
Record inspection data, generate reports, and maintain traceability documentation in quality management systems (QMS).
Identify and report nonconformities, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
Verify incoming materials from suppliers for compliance with specifications.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IPC, and other relevant quality standards.
Maintain calibration of inspection tools and ensure test equipment is functioning properly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electromechanical, or a related field .
2–5 years of experience in quality inspection or quality control within electronics or electromechanical manufacturing.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience with measurement tools and electrical test instruments.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or similar quality/workmanship standards.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
