Job Title Consulting Director, Digital & AI
Role Overview Our Digital and AI practice is looking for an experienced Director to support the growth of our Digital & AI team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead cutting‑edge AI engagements, define strategy, deliver complex AI programmes, and contribute to the growth of our AI consulting footprint across the US.
Responsibilities
As part of the Digital & AI team, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to shape AI strategies, define delivery roadmaps, and oversee the implementation of scalable, production‑grade AI systems.
Help build our US practice by working side‑by‑side with senior leadership partners to develop client relationships and business development opportunities.
Align AI solutions with client business goals, develop technically robust solutions, and maintain ethical integrity.
Lead AI visioning sessions, facilitate strategy workshops, oversee design and architecture documents, and manage downstream effects.
Support the development of our internal capabilities and provide mentorship to junior staff.
Typical Engagements Include
Driving stakeholder engagement: building consensus among technical and business stakeholders, ensuring delivery is aligned with business priorities and value creation.
Facilitating AI visioning and strategy workshops: supporting clients by providing a framework of an ideal future state and tools to realise it.
Leading end‑to‑end delivery of AI/ML projects: managing all phases from discovery and design to deployment, monitoring, and optimisation.
Translating business requirements into practical solutions that align with strategy, policies, and standards.
Advising on AI operating models and governance: guiding clients to establish effective frameworks, governance models, and responsible AI practices.
Scaling AI capabilities: supporting clients in enhancing AI scalability through MLOps automation, cloud infrastructure modernization, and ensuring data readiness.
Driving business development: assisting and leading client relationship development and business engagement opportunities.
Contributing to the ongoing evolution of Baringa’s global and local growth strategy.
Skills and Experience Our Director role requires 10+ years of experience in a consulting or industry role, with a strong background in Data & AI initiatives.
Qualifications
Strategic innovation: develop tailored AI transformation strategies and lead end‑to‑end AI/ML projects.
Identifying and enabling AI use cases, crafting robust business cases.
Client advisory and upskilling on AI/ML operating models, governance frameworks, and responsible practices.
Business‑to‑AI translation: maintain compliance and help define new policies as needed.
Leadership in AI delivery planning: convert business objectives into comprehensive AI/ML delivery plans and manage cross‑functional teams.
Expertise in AI tools, vendors and solutions, including COTS deployment.
Scaling AI/ML capabilities: MLOps, cloud infrastructure, data readiness, and legacy to cloud migration.
End‑to‑end AI systems delivery with technical rigor and business impact.
Effective stakeholder engagement and alignment for measurable business value.
Benefits
Salary range: $245,000 – $285,000.
