The Department of Cardiovascular Services at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida, is seeking a Director of Cardiac Anesthesia to guide services in Jacksonville and Orlando. The ideal candidate will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and management of a clinical department in collaboration with the Director of the Nemours Cardiac Center, Florida, in harmony with the Nemours mission and strategic goals. This leader will help build the Cardiac Anesthesia Program by contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans and ensuring that policies, programs, and initiatives support the department's mission, vision, and values. This physician leader will inspire and exemplify Nemours standards of behavior and facilitate collaboration across the Department of Cardiovascular Services, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Nemours clinical divisions, and hospital partners within Florida to ensure the highest quality of care. Key Opportunity Highlights: Nemours Children’s Health is a major pediatric health system with two hospitals and over 70 specialty and primary care practices. Leadership at Nemours Children’s Health Florida focuses on growing the Nemours Cardiac Center. This physician leader will participate in the clinical activities of the Cardiac Anesthesia Division, monitor and facilitate clinical services, and track performance to ensure continued high quality of care, superior patient satisfaction, and industry-leading outcomes. The Director, Cardiac Anesthesia and Associate Director, Nemours Cardiac Center, report to the Director, Nemours Cardiac Center-Florida and Chair, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, and are responsible for supporting academic, clinical, research, and administrative activities related to the pediatric cardiac anesthesia service in support of the Nemours Cardiac Center’s mission and strategic direction. Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and management of the Cardiac Anesthesia Department in collaboration with the Nemours Cardiac Center leadership. Develop and implement strategic plans; ensure policies, programs, and initiatives align with the department’s mission, vision, and values. Inspire, model, and uphold Nemours standards of behavior; foster collaboration across departments, hospital partners, and clinical divisions to deliver high-quality care. Participate in clinical activities of the Cardiac Anesthesia Division; monitor and facilitate clinical services; track performance to ensure quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. Lead academic, clinical, research, and administrative activities related to pediatric cardiac anesthesia in support of Nemours Cardiac Center’s strategic direction. Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent degree. ABA board certification with subspecialty certification in pediatric anesthesia; experience and/or additional training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia. Possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. Academic leadership experience and accomplishments appropriate for a faculty appointment at the level of Associate Professor or Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
