The Opportunity We are aggressively seeking a
Safety Director
to lead and strengthen our safety culture across all divisions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in heavy civil or utility construction and the ability to drive compliance, training, and accountability across field operations.
This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to executive management. The successful candidate must be able to start within
10 days
and hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:
Enforce company-wide safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and compliance inspections
Lead safety training programs, toolbox talks, and supervisor safety education
CSP, CHST, or equivalent construction safety certification strongly preferred
OSHA 500 certification strongly preferred
Investigate incidents and implement corrective action plans
Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure proactive safety planning
Serve as the company’s primary safety liaison with clients, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
10+ years of safety management experience in heavy civil, underground utility, or related construction
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and state safety standards
Strong communication and leadership skills
CSP, CHST, or similar certification preferred
Ability to travel between job sites across multiple states
$25,000 sign-on bonus
