Senior IS Application Developer, ServiceNow Ochsner Health seeks a Senior IS Application Developer to design, connect, schedule and deploy business solutions in ServiceNow, including workflows, reports, and dashboards. The role involves data analysis, requirements gathering, production system monitoring, and serving as a technical lead and mentor to junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow workflows, reports, and dashboards.

Analyze and validate data, gathering requirements for business solutions.

Monitor production systems, resolve issues, and elevate them when necessary.

Act as the technical lead for development initiatives and coordinate with impacted business areas.

Mentor junior programmers and drive technical innovation within the IS programming team.

Maintain existing programs, troubleshoot user problems, write complex new programs, and conduct first‑level testing.

Lead code reviews and set the technical direction of the department.

Complete status reports and keep leadership informed of project progress and delays.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to the role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of programming experience (8 years preferred).

Strong knowledge of SQL and .NET application code (VB.NET or C#), HTML, and JavaScript.

Experience with application infrastructure design, object‑oriented principles, and database design.

Excellent analytical, communication, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with ServiceNow development or a strong willingness to learn the platform.

Preferred Skills

Experience designing and deploying ServiceNow applications, including workflows, reports, and dashboards.

Background in healthcare IT and familiarity with compliance standards.

Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio, SQL Server, and version control systems.

Physical and Environmental Demands Light work: up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently; primarily a seated, sedentary role.
