Key Responsibilities
Release Planning & Coordination: develop and manage release schedules, identify dependencies and risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless release execution and align plans with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Release Execution: lead deployment activities across production and non-production environments, ensuring all changes meet quality, compliance, and security standards; conduct readiness assessments and provide post-release support.
Process Optimization: continuously improve release processes and workflows, promote best practices in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps, maintain documentation for release policies and procedures.
Risk & Issue Management: identify and mitigate release risks, develop and implement rollback strategies for failed deployments.
Communication & Reporting: serve as the primary point of contact for release-related matters, provide regular updates to stakeholders, facilitate post-release reviews to assess performance and drive improvements.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in release management.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git, and Confluence.
Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or related frameworks.
Soft Skills
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
