Position Summary
Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Applied Signal Technology (AST) – Anaheim Hills, CA (Onsite). Requirements: U.S. citizenship, U.S. government issued TS/SCI clearance without Polygraph. Salary range: 137,000 USD – 275,000 USD.
What You Will Do
Drive system-level architecture, performance analysis, and integration of candidate systems.
Develop algorithms, signal processing, and modeling & simulation related to characterizing performance of candidate systems for assured position navigation and timing.
As a technical leader, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design resilient and precise navigation systems that operate in challenging and contested environments.
Travel up to 25 %.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Typically requires 10 years of experience in GNSS/GPS system design and analysis.
Experience working with navigation technologies such as Inertial Guidance, Kalman Filters, Sensor Fusion, spread spectrum signal acquisition and tracking.
Familiarity with Government Reference Architectures (AMS, Big Iron).
Familiarity with anti‑jam, anti‑spoofing techniques, and resilient navigation approaches.
Experience with performing modeling & simulation, system testing, data analysis, and statistical analysis for systems operating within an electronic warfare environment.
Proven experience leading system engineering efforts for complex PNT systems.
Experience with modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and system simulation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior stakeholders and write technical documentation.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret SCI (TS/SCI) U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
Master’s or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
Field testing geolocation or navigation prototypes within a contested RF environment.
Experience with GNSS receivers (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou).
Experience working on DoD or aerospace programs.
Existing Top‑Secret SCI (TS/SCI) U.S. government issued security clearance (within the 24 months).
