Overview

Job Title: Vice President, Commercial Banking (CRE Non-Institutional) – Location: San Francisco, Montgomery. Responsibilities

Identify a target market for new business and develop a book of new business from those relationships. Negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of a variety of major and complex loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures. Develop business checking and deposit relationships with customers; assist clients with deposit related products and services; gather and analyze client information to recommend appropriate deposit product solutions. Seek Non-institutional Commercial Real Estate experience in High Net Worth, family office and private wealth clientele. Compile and analyze market research data to develop product/service recommendations for the target market. Engage in business development activities and solicit new business based on the target market. Collaborate with treasury partner to ensure seamless client experiences. Call and visit target customers to promote and sell Bank products and services to establish a new book of business. Develop and maintain customer data base including calls and results on all new business relationships; produce reports as required. Interview prospective applicants and gather information related to loan or credit applications; resolve questions regarding application information. Perform preliminary qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within the Bank's credit culture and current trends. Gather information to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee; meet with new/potential customers; visit loan sites; negotiate loan terms; refer and recommend acceptance to the Chief Credit Officer or Loan Committee. Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed per agreement, customer needs, and Bank lending policies; obtain documentation and solve processing/servicing issues within the Relationship Manager's portfolio. Maintain knowledge of financial industry status and trends. Recommend to senior management products/services with performance concerns. Represent the Bank in community and civic functions to enhance the Bank's image and market position in financing. Qualifications

6+ years of related experience in Commercial Real Estate (non-institutional). Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposits, loan administration, treasury management and other commercial banking products and services. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Advanced knowledge in relationship management, organizational and time management skills, and communication skills (speaking and writing). May require up to 50% travel. Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $139,000.00 – $171,800.00, location-dependent (Oakland, San Francisco or San Jose, CA). The role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives and restricted stock.
