Interim Controller We are currently seeking candidates for an Interim Controller opportunity with a highly successful and growing SaaS organization offering 100% remote flexibility (Must be located in ET time zone). The Interim Controller will play a key role in managing core accounting functions and pre‑IPO readiness efforts.

This is a 3+ month contract position, paying between $85‑$100/hour (depending on experience).

Responsibilities

Lead and manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, primarily in NetSuite.

Implement and optimize accounting processes and internal controls to support Pre‑IPO and PCAOB readiness.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards for leadership and potential investors.

Drive Pre‑IPO initiatives, including audit readiness, SOX implementation, and compliance with GAAP and PCAOB standards.

Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third‑party service providers.

Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Mentor and guide accounting team members, promoting best practices and process efficiency.

Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to scale finance and accounting operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

7‑10+ years of accounting and finance experience in high‑growth SaaS or technology companies.

Proven hands‑on controller experience, including strong experience with Pre‑IPO or IPO preparation.

Strong experience with NetSuite, including general ledger, reporting, and process automation.

Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and PCAOB compliance.

Experience managing external audits and implementing SOX compliance programs.

Strong technical proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
