Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled
Senior Tax Manager
to lead complex tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses. This role is a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for providing tailored solutions to affluent clients.
The Role As the Senior Tax Manager, you will oversee sophisticated tax compliance and advisory work, manage client relationships, and mentor a team of professionals. You will deliver strategic guidance on intricate tax issues, including estate planning, tax‑efficient investment strategies, and multi‑generational wealth transfer while ensuring compliance and minimizing tax liabilities.
Your role will also include managing correspondence with tax authorities, addressing audits and inquiries, and driving the successful delivery of high‑quality client services.
Key Responsibilities Client Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients.
Provide creative and strategic solutions for complex tax and financial planning needs.
Manage client expectations regarding new accounting standards and ensure timely project delivery.
Technical Expertise
Plan, supervise, and review complex tax engagements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Conduct in‑depth research on intricate tax issues and deliver actionable recommendations.
Stay current with industry trends and participate in Continuing Professional Education (CPE).
Leadership & Staff Development
Supervise, mentor, and train interns, staff, and managers to foster professional growth.
Serve as a role model and resource for junior staff.
Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members.
Practice Management
Oversee engagement scheduling, billing, and workflow coordination to meet firm deadlines.
Contribute to the firm’s strategic goals, quality control initiatives, and profitability.
Participate in firm committees and internal projects as needed.
Business Development
Identify and pursue cross‑selling opportunities.
Build and maintain a network of professional relationships to support practice growth.
About You
CPA License : Active CPA license is required.
Education : Master’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or specialization.
Experience : Minimum of 9 years in public accounting, including at least 3 years at the Tax Manager level.
Skills : Exceptional technical knowledge, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication.
Leadership : Proven ability to mentor and lead teams effectively.
Ethics : Strong commitment to integrity, quality service, and professional development.
