Associate Medical Director of Family Medicine
and
Chief Medical Officer
to provide culturally sensitive, high-quality care in an outpatient setting.

Schedule:
Flexible schedules ranging from 16–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
Compensation:
$67.37 – $85.35 per hour ($140,129.60 – $177,528.00 annually), plus a signing bonus.

TVHC's Forgivable Loan Program:

Federal and State Loan Programs:
TVHC is designated as both a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) and a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), making employees eligible for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and other federal and state loan repayment and forgiveness programs.
Responsibilities
Perform health assessments, including thorough history and physical examinations, ordering or performing diagnostic tests, medication orders, and evaluation of psychosocial and family aspects.
Promote and maintain periodic health assessments and preventive screening, guidance on health hazards, family health habits, and family planning.
Manage common acute and chronic illnesses, and initiate life-saving procedures in emergencies.
Provide clinical oversight of NP/PA trainees, NP residents, and/or new providers; direct medical assistants, lab personnel, and other non-professional medical staff as appropriate.
Offer in-service training on selected topics within scope of practice of medicine as appropriate.
Maintain electronic health records, including medical records, documentation management, coding, and signing off charts within designated time.
Assist in internal quality control audits; maintain standards of quality of care based on specialty and organizational standards.
Discuss or refer complex and high-priority patient cases as needed.
Perform all duties in compliance with the organization’s Service Excellence Standards and code of conduct.
Demonstrate ongoing learning for professional growth.
Attend internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, task forces, or committees as required.
Provide additional assistance within and outside the clinical arena as requested.
Educate patients and the community in preventive health care and health maintenance concepts.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Board Certified/Eligible in designated specialty field.
Current California medical license, DEA license, and CPR.
Preferred: Previous experience providing medical care within a community health setting.
Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of medical principles and allied services commensurate with training.
Ability to build trust and respect with patients, staff, colleagues, and external contacts.
Effective independent and team-based work skills.
Commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to meet or exceed TVHC’s Service Excellence Standards.
Willingness to work periodic evenings/weekends as needed.
Ability to travel to other TVHC sites as required.
Bilingual, especially Spanish, preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, resourcefulness, timeliness, and technical knowledge.
Sensitivity to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse patient and employee populations.
Proficiency with computer technology and willingness to adapt to evolving medical health center practices.
