Senior Firmware Engineer – San Mateo, CA

PlayStation seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop software and hardware test infrastructure, support detailed testing, and enable rapid iteration across product life cycle phases. The Engineer will design and develop embedded systems from proof of concept to manufacturing, build CI/CD pipelines, develop low‑power wireless systems, and participate in full development cycles for product shipping. Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded firmware drivers for ARM microcontrollers and low‑power wireless systems. Build CI/CD build pipelines for automatic firmware builds, upgrades, and testing using Jenkins, Git, and Slack. Define and develop manufacturing test software and participate in manufacturing test phases (Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT). Evaluate alternative device platforms to ensure feature support and compatibility with existing systems. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the full product development cycle. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent). At least 2 years of experience designing and developing embedded systems from concept to manufacturing. Proficiency in ARM microcontroller firmware development and low‑power wireless system design. Experience building CI/CD pipelines and integrating Jenkins, Git, and Slack platforms. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Benefits & Compensation
