Do you want to help make the world safe from cyber attack? At Corelight, we believe that the best approach to cybersecurity risk starts with the network. Attackers can evade endpoint detection, firewalls and many other technologies - but they can't avoid leaving digital footprints on the networks they traverse. Built on open‑source innovations from Zeek, Suricata and YARA and refined through years of real‑world use, Corelight transforms network footprints from physical, virtual and cloud networks into actionable insights. Our customers use these insights to speed incident response and proactively hunt for threats.
We seek an experienced Principal Product Manager to assist in driving the strategic direction and execution of Corelight's Network Detection and Response (NDR) sensor platform, with specific focus on engine capabilities, network security, and application integrations. The ideal candidate will define and execute product roadmaps for sensor intelligence, containerized architectures, and seamless integration with security tools across the modern SOC ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in network security fundamentals (packet analysis, protocol inspection, threat detection) and building solutions with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, microservices). The successful candidate will have extensive experience with network security products and containerization technologies, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role in cybersecurity or network security
Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling security products
Deep expertise in network security fundamentals including packet analysis, protocol inspection, and threat detection methodologies
Strong technical background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures
Hands‑on understanding of container networking, security, and deployment patterns in production environments
Experience building and managing product integrations within the network security space
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, TLS) and API design patterns
Excellent communication skills with ability to influence both technical and executive audiences
Experience working in agile development environments and leading cross‑functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field
Experience with Zeek (formerly Bro), Suricata, or similar network analysis frameworks
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem including Helm, service meshes, and CNI plugins
Experience with cloud‑native security patterns and container security best practices
Familiarity with eBPF, XDP, or other kernel‑level network monitoring technologies
Background in security research, threat hunting, or SOC operations
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking/security services
Technical certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or similar
Experience with open‑source security projects or communities
Experience in product management at a high‑growth cybersecurity company
