Position Summary The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at UNM in Albuquerque invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The role primarily involves anesthesiology practice with a focus on Neuro Anesthesiology, including complex neurosurgical cases such as tumor, vascular, interventional, complex spine, and functional neurosurgery. Responsibilities include training residents, teaching medical students, collaborating on clinical research, and working within a care team model.

UNM Health Sciences Center is a tertiary referral center, the only Level 1 Trauma Center, and Primary Stroke Center in New Mexico, serving a diverse population. The university is expanding its expertise in advanced neurology and neurosurgical care.

Albuquerque offers rich cultural history, outdoor activities like skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and hosts the annual International Balloon Fiesta. The city enjoys 340 days of sunshine and four seasons.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Unrestricted medical license MD or equivalent degree Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of residency and active in certification process Ability to work clinical call coverage
