As part of the fundamentals team, this role requires working extensively with data, contributing to market research, forecasting projects, and capacity expansion modeling. The position will begin on or after January 5, 2026.
Responsibilities
Market analysis & research:
Track policy developments, technological changes, and market dynamics affecting energy supply, demand, and pricing; review industry reports, regulatory bulletins, news articles, and government publications; stay current on market news and data releases; assist with data on new infrastructure developments and capacity expansion plans; draft concise research briefs and internal summaries.
Energy Market Modeling:
Support construction and refinement of market forecasting models; gather and document data; compile datasets for long‑term demand forecasting and capacity studies; participate in model validation, calibration, and quantitative analysis.
Data Science & Reporting:
Identify automation opportunities; support integration of new tools or scripts for data management; maintain databases; facilitate data sharing and collaboration; present findings with Excel, Power BI, and other visualization tools.
Qualifications
About one year of experience in energy, analytics, market research, or data analysis.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Experience with statistical modeling.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Power, Economics, Business, or related field.
Strong understanding of market economics, power markets, and quantitative/econometric models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver high‑quality results on time.
Team‑oriented, collaborative, and detail‑focused.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Compensation Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000 USD, depending on location, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law. Eligible to earn an annual cash bonus.
