Our residential housing programs serve clients with a variety of needs, including those who are formerly homeless and those struggling with mental illness. STATEMENT OF THE JOB

The Recertification Specialist Assistant is responsible for the overall coordination of general office services provided by the POP Management housing office. The Recertification Specialist Assistant works as an integral member of on-site support team to ensure safe affordable housing is provided and maintained for tenants who live at the program Apartments. The Recertification Specialist Assistant is responsible for compliance with all Agency, funding source and regulatory agreements, aiding tenants with maintaining affordable housing through the certification and recertification of tenants on an annual basis as well as coordinating interventions with social service staff for community building and human service delivery. The Recertification Specialist Assistant ensures the Agency Mission and Best Practices are upheld, while promoted to clients and the broader community in which our programs work. Provide leadership to staff in creating a positive, supportive living environment for tenants, including responding to tenant requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain and coordinate general office services in a professional and courteous manner. Partner with the Recertification Specialist to collect/post rents, ensure that all necessary reporting is submitted in a timely manner per Agency procedures. File all paperwork in order to support tracking of all tenant housing court actions. Maintain an accurate and orderly record keeping system of office records and tenant files in accordance with Agency and regulatory agreements, maintaining confidentiality as required. Follow the enforcement of the occupancy policy and procedures in accordance with regulatory agreements. Assist Recertification Specialist in initiating communication to compliance team for tenants out of compliance with rent or house rules. Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants. Attend trainings, learn and execute requirements per Fair Housing regulations, Section 504 Act, Low Income Tax Credit, Mixed Finance and or Certified Occupancy Specialist programs, HDC, HPD, HCR, HUD and Section 42. Ensure all program equipment including photocopier, fax machine, computers, & printers are in working order. Assist with all aspects of occupancy cycle so apartments can be rented in a timely manner, including scheduling applicant interviews, requesting and tracking third party income documentation, organizing files per HUD and tax credit guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred. Minimum 1-year housing related or similar business experience including office management, word processing, data entry and basic accounting required. Computer literate with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Knowledge of ICAMS or similar housing management system a plus Excellent organizational, time management & interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Bi-lingual Spanish, Korean, Russian, or Chinese a plus. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. BENEFITS
