Per Diem Hospitalist Opportunity – Salem Hospital
Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, is the largest community hospital on the North Shore of Massachusetts. We provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with our academic medical center partners at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Our hospitalist team plays a critical role in delivering exceptional inpatient care to our diverse patient population.
Job Description We are seeking
Per Diem Hospitalists
to join our dedicated and collaborative team at
Salem Hospital . This role offers flexibility and an opportunity to work in a dynamic
community hospital setting
while benefiting from the resources and expertise of the Mass General Brigham system.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality
inpatient
medical care, including admissions, rounding, and discharges.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
Manage acute medical conditions in hospitalized patients and coordinate care transitions.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring providers.
Qualifications
MD or DO
degree required.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in
Internal Medicine
or
Family Medicine .
Eligible for medical licensure in
Massachusetts .
Prior experience in a
hospitalist
role preferred but not required.
Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Schedule & Compensation
Per Diem
role with flexible scheduling, including
day, night, and weekend shifts
based on availability and department needs.
Competitive per diem compensation within the
Mass General Brigham
network.
