The Laboratory Technician will conduct chemical and physical tests on solids, liquids, and gases to support research and development, quality control, environmental compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in generating reliable data used in scientific decision-making and product development. Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory tests according to standard procedures to perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Optimize laboratory workflows to produce consistent and actionable results.
Handle sensitive laboratory equipment for sample analysis and testing, ensuring accurate reporting of findings to the Laboratory Manager.
Receive, label, and analyze incoming samples.
Perform routine experiments under defined conditions using established scientific methods.
Observe, interpret, and document test results, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Safely store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases in accordance with safety protocols.
Record data and maintain comprehensive documentation in both paper and digital formats.
Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
Follow all safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Qualifications
Educational background or experience in Chemistry, Mechanical Testing, Analytical Science, or a related field.
Knowledge of laboratory techniques, terminology, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and performing statistical calculations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to document and communicate findings effectively.
