As a member of the Google Cloud Communications team, you will collaborate with other cross‑functional teams to communicate with journalists and thought leaders, develop specific communications materials and devise thought leadership campaigns.
You’ll understand the power of Google’s Cloud products and tell the story of how we help our customers innovate.
You’ll engage in face‑to‑face meetings with internal executives and external opinion formers, and develop print and web‑based materials supporting these campaigns.
In this role, you will drive the narrative for one of Google’s fastest‑growing and most critical businesses.
You will define and execute a comprehensive, integrated communications strategy, spanning product public relations (PR), external media, social and influencer relations to generate immense awareness and excitement for Google Cloud’s exceptional AI infrastructure offerings.
You will lead and grow a team of communications professionals, serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, and oversee all internal and executive communications for the AI Computing and Infrastructure (ACI) organization, including speech‑writing and employee engagement.
You will also have the opportunity to have a real impact on a pivotal AI initiative for Google Cloud, working with industry leaders across several functions within Google.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
14 years of experience in public relations, external and internal communications.
Experience in a people‑management, supervision, or team‑leadership role.
Experience in semiconductor and Business‑to‑Business (B2B) communications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working at a multi‑product, multi‑billion dollar technology company as an executive communications leader.
Experience across both internal and external communications.
Understanding of cloud technologies, as well as artificial intelligence, privacy and security.
Ability to communicate effectively with executives and leadership teams while successfully delegating tasks and mentoring junior staffers to grow their careers.
Ability to maintain media relationships across business and technology press.
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow both internal and external communications teams, driving strategy execution, ranging from all‑hands meetings to product launches.
Serve as the primary communications advisor to executive stakeholders and leadership across key business, product, policy and competition issues.
Educate business and technology press on Google AI infrastructure’s unique value, working closely with the external PR agency to hit key objectives.
Manage executive communications, including media briefings, speaking engagements and internal communications programming (i.e., all team meetings).
Collaborate closely with product marketing, human resources and partner teams on initiatives spanning privacy, security, competition and key employee issues.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $211,000$−$297,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
