Overview
At Miter, we’re on a mission to help construction contractors build with confidence. If we’re successful, we’ll make it easier and faster to build critical physical infrastructure — roads, bridges, utilities, data centers, housing, etc. We’re using AI and embedded payments to rebuild core HR, finance, and operations systems that underpin the built world. We work with contractors to help them build stronger teams, control job costs, and accelerate jobsite execution. We’re a fast-growing vertical software company backed by top investors. Hybrid vs. Remote Approach:
We believe the magic of Miter comes from working side by side, while also offering work flexibility. For roles listed as hybrid, our approach is three to four days a week in the office. If you live within a reasonable commute to our New York City or San Francisco offices, we ask that you work in our hybrid approach. For roles listed as remote or in other cities without an office, there is no hybrid requirement. We travel a few times a year for onboarding, company-wide, and team-specific offsites. What You'll Do
Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for Miter’s core systems and product lines. Lead cross-team initiatives to tackle our most difficult and ambiguous engineering challenges. Actively find new ways to elevate the engineering organization through mentorship, design reviews, and other tooling/process improvements. What You'll Need
8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership experience in roles. Deep expertise in system architecture, reliability, and maintainability. Curiosity to explore emerging technologies and push technical boundaries in line with business needs. Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and products. Ability to lead with humility while driving consensus and high standards. Our Tech Stack
