Sr. Project Manager

Title : Sr. Project Manager

Location : Thousand Oaks, CA - Onsite

Duration : 6-12 month ongoing project/extension

Responsibilities

Complete and maintain applicable site and project tracking system.

Provide Technical IT Project Management for the Thousand Oaks Project with Global Teams

Report on the project progress including preparing and presenting monthly status to senior management and updating status. Aspects include status, accomplishments, next steps, milestones, risks, asks/needs and monthly spend forecast.

Create relevant project milestones that can be measured and managed to ensure they are delivered/completed by set due dates.

Ensure project reporting data quality aspects are met.

Manage project resources reporting to ensure proper monthly time allocation.

Communicate overall project status with project sponsor.

Raise potential risks and issues with management before they materialize.

Coordinate project schedules with site/global teams and any vendors.

Verify, review, and approve task/deliverables.

Manage the project purchase orders. Review and approve invoices.

Update the project monthly spend forecast and accruals at least monthly.

Complete Takeda project governance checklists (initiate, define, plan, execute, close). Follow project governance in each phase of the project-management lifecycle (initiate thru close). Includes placing assets in service to financially close the project.

Coordinate and lead team meetings, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree preferred

Minimum 3-5 yrs industry experience

PM skills and understanding of Infrastructure and drug development is a must

PMP Certification Preferred

Business acumen and ability to interact effectively with all levels organizationally.

Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives and coordinate resources.

Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills

Strong business analysis skills, proven meeting facilitation and documentation skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to share information effectively

Builds strong productive relationships with key partners

Some expertise with project management related software and tools (MS Project, SharePoint a must)
