We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional to gain hands‑on experience across all phases of the construction process. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing project budgets, bids, and contracts.
Support preconstruction efforts including estimating, takeoffs, and scheduling.
Collaborate with designers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather information and resolve issues.
Track project costs, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
Help maintain project schedules and coordinate daily/weekly updates with field staff.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, insurance, bonding, and safety standards.
Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and closeout materials.
Assist with site logistics, coordination, and project reporting.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Take on special assignments and provide support to project leadership as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1–4 years of experience in construction, internship or professional.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Basic understanding of estimating, scheduling, and construction documents.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across teams.
Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.
