Base Pay Range $155,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with physicians in diagnosing, managing, and treating chronic pain and work-related injuries.

Evaluate and treat selected patients within the designated service area, including physical examinations and direct patient interactions (in-person and electronic).

Coordinate care with department colleagues to meet quality benchmarks.

Participate in overall patient care orchestration and be flexible to cover nearby clinical sites.

Work a temporary schedule: Brentwood 3 days and Walnut Creek 2 days per week.

Practice under standard NP/PA procedures consistent with BHC policy and California Board of Registered Nursing requirements.

Adhere to daily patient schedule, treating up to 21 patients once fully trained.

Conduct age‑appropriate assessments: history taking, physical examination.

Manage follow‑up and new patient consultations in coordination with supervising physicians.

Perform office injections (trigger point, knee, shoulder, bursa) and evaluate requirement for interventional procedures (epidural, facet, steroid, spinal cord stimulator).

Manage medication needs, including controlled substances, monitor for aberrant behavior via urine toxicology and PDMP records.

Collect ongoing assessment data covering physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, cognitive status; provide patient/family education and advocacy.

Consult with supervising physicians or clinicians as indicated.

Order diagnostic studies as per protocols.

Maintain communication with other providers and departments for efficient, continuous care.

Build working relationships with team members, patients, families.

Acknowledge staff rights, cultural and ethical beliefs.

Delegate and coordinate duties of health‑care team members.

Evaluate effectiveness of care by team members.

Apply safety principles; remain calm in emergencies; document events.

Demonstrate responsibility, accountability, legal knowledge (confidentiality, risk management).

Problem solve effectively.

Show service philosophy in all interactions.

Use computers and telecommunication tools to document, track, convey info.

Be willing to work at other nearby clinics on an as‑needed basis.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.

California licensed and board certified.

New graduates welcome; must obtain board certification within one year of employment.

Requirements

National certification for NPs (AAA or ANCC) or PAs (PANCE).

Basic Life Support (BLS) with AED training.

Maintain National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Medicare prerequisites for PTAN.

Current DEA license with ability to prescribe schedule II medications.

Compensation Range $155,000 to $175,000 annually.
