Entry Level

Stormwater Engineer

to support our

Transportation

group in our Boston, MA office. Working on the roadway team offers the opportunity to engage in transformative projects that enhance transportation infrastructure and improve community connectivity. Whether working on highways, bridges, traffic engineering, or roadways, our team excels in resilient, sustainable design and construction, delivering innovative solutions for modern multimodal roadway systems.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do

Design highway drainage systems and Green Infrastructure/stormwater management basins.

Perform hydrologic watershed modeling.

Develop hydraulic models for bridge and culvert replacements.

Assist with the development of construction plans.

Assist with the preparation of environmental permit applications.

Attend internal and external meetings with the team.

Manage workload on various projects simultaneously.

Initiate tasks efficiently and independently.

What You’ll Bring To Our Firm

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university.

0-2 years of experience in stormwater, roadway, or drainage engineering.

Demonstrated interest in stormwater engineering or related roadway engineering field through applied academic coursework, prior internships, or work experiences.

Basic proficiency in CAD or similar drafting software.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player, and willingness to learn.

What We Prefer You Bring

An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

Prior experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.

Familiarity with MassDOT Transportation standards.

Experience in preparing detailed design contract drawings and packages.

Compensation The salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000, dependent upon experience and geographic location.
