FPC of Hendersonville is assisting a leading manufacturing company in the Eastern South Carolina area find an experienced
EH&S Manager
to manage all aspects of environmental, health, and safety at their facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe workplace, and supporting operational excellence. This is a hands-on role with a significant impact on both plant operations and community safety. Salary:
$115K – $120K + Bonus Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EH&S programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate standards. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHS). Prepare, monitor, and submit required EH&S reports, permits, and documentation. Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Conduct training and safety meetings for employees and provide ongoing EH&S support to all shifts. Support the Plant Manager with capital projects, contractor management, and ensuring safe project execution. Oversee aspects of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP), including audits, hot work, contractor management, and emergency response drills. Assist with local HR-related activities, such as new hire orientation, random drug testing, and participation in community safety initiatives. Lead local recruitment efforts for hourly staff, with support from corporate HR. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in EH&S, Engineering, or a related field. 3–8+ years of experience in environmental, health, safety, or industrial hygiene roles. Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP). Familiarity with air permitting, stormwater, SPCC, NPDES, hot work permits, LOTO, confined space programs is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills. Floor supervisor mentality with the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships across all levels of plant staff. Preferred
