Overview
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. This is a Baylor (Work 48 hours, paid for 72) position that will work Monday and Tuesday overnights from 6PM - 6AM.
The CT Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT). This position will adhere to a Baylor Schedule which will be designated by the hospital.
Responsibilities
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Performs excellent patient care
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
Required Qualifications
ARRT Radiology Tech
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
1 year or years of experience in a related role
Previous ambulatory care experience.
Additional certifications in Imaging
Strong interpersonal skills.
