Overview
Job Title: Warehouse Supply Chain & Logistics Manager Location: Syracuse University campus Job Type: Full-time • Hours: standard university business hours with a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. The pay range is $76,000 – $94,000. Staff Level: S6 • FLSA Status: Exempt Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers, suppliers, and customers. Directly supervise the Assistant Manager and ensure that non-exempt and bargaining unit warehouse staff operate safely, accurately, and efficiently. Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and ensure accurate stock records. Implement process efficiency measures and key performance indicators to optimize warehouse functionality and increase productivity. Responsible for warehouse property maintenance, equipment maintenance, fleet maintenance and organization optimization standards and metrics. Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Five (5) plus years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management. Skills and Knowledge
Strong leadership and team management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities Ability to train and supervise staff who are using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery (certification may be required) Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols including Lean Six Sigma Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift) Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching Good visual acuity for reading labels, invoices and monitoring inventory Ability to hear and respond to alarms, equipment signals, and verbal instructions in a noisy environment Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions depending on the season and warehouse setup) Tools/Equipment
