Overview
This is a
12-month program
available to graduates of a fellowship program in interventional cardiology and will accept one fellow per year starting July 1, 2026. This is a Texas Medical Board approved fellowship. This advanced fellowship will provide expert and dedicated training in structural and valvular heart disease from national leaders in the field. The program will provide robust hands-on training in various procedures including transcatheter aortic valve replacement, M-TEER and T-TEER, TTVR, PFO/ASD closures, paravalvular leak closures, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, etc. Training sites include UTSW Clements Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Dallas VAMC providing exposure to a diverse patient population. In addition, the structural fellow will participate in outpatient and inpatient longitudinal evaluation and follow-up patients in a multidisciplinary and collaborative fashion. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to participate in meaningful quality improvement and research endeavors in this space.
Qualifications This position requires a Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine.
Must be board eligible/certified within interventional cardiology.
