This privately held organization operates across multiple sites and continues to expand its market presence through innovation, operational excellence, and strategic investment. Why This Role Matters
As Senior Cost Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in driving financial visibility across operations. You’ll partner with plant leadership, supply chain, and finance to deliver accurate cost analysis, support strategic decisions, and strengthen margin performance. Key Responsibilities
Lead standard cost development, variance analysis, and inventory valuation across multiple manufacturing sites Collaborate with operations to analyze production costs, identify trends, and recommend cost-saving opportunities Support monthly close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations related to COGS and inventory Maintain and improve cost accounting systems and reporting tools Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies and profitability analysis Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit activities Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of standard costing, BOMs, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
