Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to personal injury and property damage claims, civil litigation, worker's compensation claims, and criminal law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with the senior attorney and contribute to a wide range of legal matters while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with case preparation, legal research, drafting, and advocacy in personal injury, property damage, civil litigation, workers' compensation, and criminal law matters as assigned.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis; draft memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Engage in client communications, negotiations, and advocacy as appropriate.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, property damage law, and litigation practices.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
Prior legal administrative experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple cases simultaneously.
Salary Salary is based on experience.
