- Schedule: Clinic Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; weeknight and weekend 24-hour call on a 1 in 3 call rotation
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both clinic and hospital settings
- Participate in a 1 in 3 call rotation, handling consults from the emergency department and performing emergency C-sections as needed
- Collaborate with certified nurse midwives, who take first call and manage the majority of call volume
- Perform scheduled OR procedures including colposcopy, IUD placements, and endometrial biopsies (typically one day every other week)
- Manage deliveries in a facility averaging 40 births per month with a Level I Nursery
- Work alongside a team of physicians, certified nurse midwives, and full clinic support staff (medical assistants, scribes, LVN)
Additional Information
- Active California medical license required
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
