Job Summary Shambaugh & Son is looking for an Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of accounting duties in a timely and accurate fashion.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and complete all requests for certificates of insurance.
Complete the daily deposit.
Union Reporting
Trade License Renewals
State and Local Tax Reporting
Cost Allocations
Supervise various accounting personnel.
Back‑up field payroll processing.
Enter monthly insurance journal entry.
Complete employee AR statements monthly.
Handle inter‑company journal entries received from EMCOR.
Send out office overtime report
Enter field vehicle reimbursement spreadsheet monthly.
Administer COVA.
Enter reoccurring journal entries.
Complete AP duplicate invoice report.
Send our monthly incentive compensation graphs.
Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive administrative and accounting experience
Bachelors of Science in Business Administration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional phone etiquette
Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to multi‑task
Be a confident self‑starter who works well independently and team player as well
Proficient in various computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
