Credit Analyst 2 With minimal direction, incumbents will analyze and project credit and financial information for complex commercial loans. Incumbents work with borrowers and Commercial Bankers in the preparation and presentation of loan proposal packets for Loan Committee meetings. Incumbents conduct financial analysis on borrowers to assess their ability to repay loans, monitor trends and conditions, and determine and alert senior management to potential problem situations that surface from analytical research. They monitor loan compliance by tracking technical exceptions and the calculation of financial covenants. What You Will Do at Arvest:
(Other duties may be assigned.) Analyze and spread financial statements and related material for complex commercial loans. Determine the need for more thorough research or additional information and work with the Commercial Bankers to obtain it. Stay informed on respective industries represented within loan portfolios and trade areas. Offer recommendations based on analysis of creditworthiness and customers' ability to repay loans. Jointly work with Commercial Bankers to prepare loan proposals for customer requests and credit memorandums. Work directly with customers and prospects during the credit review process in conjunction with the Commercial Banker. Make recommendations to senior management regarding improvements to bank procedures and processes. Monitor loan compliance throughout the year through monitoring of technical exceptions and calculation of financial covenants. Assist the manager with monthly or quarterly portfolio monitoring reports. Assist with the preparation of concentration reports for review by senior management as requested. Assist with training new Credit Analysts. May prepare reports to forecast future expectations, show how certain industries will perform, and determine the risk associated with the endeavor. May provide in-depth loan portfolio monitoring/management for the assigned bank group. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes completing compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations; and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity. Required Toolbox for Success: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent finance, accounting, or lending experience 9 hours of college-level accounting or equivalent training (ABA, Omega/Moody's or other in-depth training courses focused on financial analysis or commercial loan underwriting) 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or lending Certified Lease and Finance Professional Certification (CLFP) or the ability to obtain within two years of hire (required for Arvest Equipment Finance positions only) Preferred Toolbox for Success: Credit Analyst experience Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
