Summary The Personal Banker is responsible for building meaningful, lasting relationships and providing exceptional service to new and existing clients. The Personal Banker supports clients in achieving their financial goals by resolving client issues, understanding their financial needs, identifying solutions, and delivering products and services effectively. A key success factor is proactively identifying client needs and referring clients to additional lines of business that provide value and convenience. Sales and service responsibilities include expanding existing relationships through profiling, seeking retail and small business lending opportunities, and closing loans. The Personal Banker should have thorough knowledge of First Fidelity Bank’s accounts and products, a genuine interest in clients, and a drive to find beneficial solutions for both client and Bank.

Client Relations and Sales: Create a memorable client experience by proactively building, maintaining, and growing relationships; provide a superior level of service by identifying client needs and offering Bank products and services.
Engage with prospective and existing clients to uncover service opportunities; use a consultative approach to tailor recommendations and solutions.
Present options to clients to make banking more beneficial and convenient, prioritizing client needs.
Align client expectations with the Bank’s capabilities to achieve desired outcomes; look for opportunities to say yes and adapt to changing client needs.
Explain product and account features, statements and service charges clearly; develop strong relationships with colleagues to refer clients to specialists as needed.
Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service; resolve client service issues in a manner favorable to the client and the Bank.
Teller Transactions As needed, open new accounts and assist with Teller transactions:
Handle cash accurately and maintain positive client relations while performing teller functions (cash checks, deposits/withdrawals, loan transactions, change orders, and selling gift cards, savings bonds, cashier’s checks, and travelers checks).
Assist clients with questions on accounts and research to resolve problems.
Process transactions accurately within authority limits; maintain neat cash drawer and accurate balances.
Verify deposits, examine negotiability of checks and other documents; enter transactions into Bank records via online terminal; complete documentation for large transactions.
Balance drawer and coin vault to defined accuracy standards.
Other Duties
Lead by example and uphold the Bank’s Mission, Core Values, and Service standards.
Comply with all policies, procedures and regulatory banking requirements.
Maintain good work habits, attendance and adherence to policies.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned; regular and reliable attendance is essential.
Qualifications Experience Requirements
Minimum six months of work experience in customer service or cash handling in financial services, retail, or other goal-oriented environment.
Previous teller and sales experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge of bank products and services.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

Strong work ethic and high integrity.
Positive, courteous demeanor with professional appearance and behavior.
Excellent client-service skills with a friendly, confident personality.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships across levels and teams.

Strong organizational skills with high accuracy; proficient computer skills and ability to use banking software and equipment.
Physical Requirements
May require long periods of standing or sitting.
Ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes weighing over 25 pounds.
May require long periods of typing and repetitive motion.
