We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable processing, and assisting with monthly close activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, accuracy, and organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2–4 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or startup environment).
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated self-starter who works well collaboratively
Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries for review/approval.
Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
A/P: Monitor and help process vendor purchase orders, invoices and employee expense reports.
A/R: Support collections and customer billing, including revenue recognition tracking.
Experience with ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks Advanced, BILL, Brex) to process transactions and generate reports.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
Additional Skills Or Expertise (a Plus, But Not Required)
Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting industries
ERP use and implementation experience
Compensation
$75,000 - $95,000, Salary may vary with experience
